Saltburn Community Arts Association Ltd (SCAA Ltd) provides artistic and educational opportunities for the people of Saltburn-by-the-Sea and the surrounding area. SCAA Ltd is established as a charitable trust run by volunteers to organise events with an emphasis on arts, education, drama and history. Many groups make use of the range of facilities at the centre which are also available for hire to individuals. The theatre has wheelchair access and space in the theatre for four wheelchairs.

Jeff Bridges stars as aging country music star Bad Blake in Crazy Heart, from writer-director Scott Cooper. Bad is a broken-down, hard-living country music singer who's had way too many marriages, far too many years on the road and one too many drinks way too many times. And yet, Bad can't help but reach for salvation with the help of Jean (Maggie Gyllenhaal), a journalist who discovers the real man behind the musician.
